The Telugu Heroes and directors are being forced to slash their remuneration. The OTT business has boomed in recent years, especially during the Corona period. The platforms tried many ways to attract the audience by buying big films. With this, the actors and directors started to make the movie pan India-wide to make good non-theatrical deals.
So with that, the heroes hiked their remunerations by 50%, and even a few stars recently raised their pay by 100%. The medium-budget heroes increased their remunerations in a massive way as non-theatrical deals also were going well. But recently, the film business came down massively both theatrically and non-theatrically. That is why Telugu Heroes and directors are forced to slash their remuneration.
Initially, the OTT platforms provided massive amounts for movie rights, but now the situation has changed. The producers who have already exceeded their budgets because they believe that the OTT rights will be huge are currently experiencing sleepless nights.
Now, the producers are not ready to give big remuneration for any hero as the movies’ business is impacted heavily both theatrically and non-theatrically. Because of this, the Heroes and directors are forced to cut the remunerations for the following films.
