Vijay Deverakonda exits the Sankranthi race. This is the latest strong buzz from the inside circles of the Telugu film industry. It is widely known that the upcoming film of Vijay Deverakonda, Family Star, starring Mrunal Thakur as the female lead and directed by Parashuram Petla, was announced to be released on Sankranthi 2024. However, as said above, it is almost confirmed that Vijay Deverakonda exits the Sankranthi race.
The team tried hard to complete the shoot part before this year’s end and to arrive on Sankranthi as planned. The release date of the film was announced on 14th January. But now it seems impossible to complete the shooting and prepare the film for Sankranthi.
Reportedly, the Family Star unit had planned a big schedule in the USA, but the team did not get the visas at the right time. This issue has delayed the shoot, and other works are also pending.
There is heavy competition for Sankranthi, with multiple movies scheduled to be released. The film’s producer, Dil Raju, and his team have decided to opt out of the Sankranthi race and join Summer as there are a lot of good dates for the release, and the season is also very much suitable for the film Family Star’s genre. With this, Vijay Devarakonda almost exits the Sankranthi race, and an official announcement is expected soon.
